Cost Per Square Foot Calculator
Customer enters two values (e.g., length and width), the calculator multiplies them to get square footage, then multiplies by your cost-per-sqft to generate a price range.
Example:
Customer enters: 10 × 10
Square footage: 100 sqft
Your cost: $100/sqft
Base calculation: 100 × $100 = $10,000
Low range (60%): $6,000
High range (120%): $12,000
Result: $6,000 – $12,000
Cost Per Run Calculator
Customer enters a single value (e.g., length), multiplied by your cost per unit to generate a price range.
Example:
Customer enters: 10 (units)
Your cost: $100 per unit
Base calculation: 10 × $100 = $1,000
Low range (60%): $600
High range (120%): $1,200
Result: $600 – $1,200

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use RoughEst on pages and posts?
Widgets by default are only available in sidebars and footer areas. To place calculators anywhere on your site, use the AMR Shortcode Any Widget plugin.
Can I customize the price range?
Yes. You can set the low and high range percentages independently for each calculator instance. For example, set the low range to 50% and high range to 150% for a wider spread.
Can I use multiple calculators on one site?
Yes, RoughEst supports unlimited concurrent instances. Each can have completely different settings, labels, multipliers, and ranges.
Can I change the currency symbol?
The customization panel doesn't currently support currency selection in the UI. Contact me if you need a specific currency symbol hard-coded into your calculators.
How do I style the calculator to match my theme?
Target the CSS class .roughest-inputs in your theme's custom CSS to style input fields.
