I was sitting in a Starbucks in Bainbridge, WA. Sparked a conversation with the guy sitting next to me. His brother managed a fabrication shop nearby and they were looking for a welder.
While I wasn’t looking to stop in Bainbridge, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to show off my skills with a welding/ fabrication test. I also identified and articulated problems in their weld test blueprints, which is no doubt more valuable than laying down a bead.
In any case, I laid down some good beads real quick and wished them the best. I think they were offering 20/hr for around 40 hours a week.
